Treatment techniques include acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, food therapy, herbal remedies, essential oils and injection therapy (B12). In women’s health we use acupuncture to comfort and ease life’s challenges and transitions. Acupuncture treatments are gentle, nourishing and geared toward providing young and mature women with a new found awareness of the body, mind and spirit. The body has a way of following the activities of the mind which can be very useful in the treatment and in long- term care. Women receiving wellness care from Johanna will gain an understanding of the mechanics of their body, specifically which emotions and mental activities are influencing their physical condition.
