As a former athlete, I know firsthand the highs and lows that come with the pursuit of sporting excellence. At the age of 16, I faced a pivotal moment when I tore my ACL and both meniscus, sidelining me for an entire basketball and soccer season. The road to recovery was grueling, but the most significant challenge was the surgeon's verdict: I was advised against playing college sports due to the likelihood of another ACL tear. This pronouncement took a toll on my mental health and crushed my dreams of collegiate-level sports. In hindsight, I wish I had embraced a growth mindset and continued to chase my dreams with unwavering determination.
This personal journey was the catalyst that led me to become a sports performance hypnotherapist and mindset coach. I realized that the mental aspect of sports is often the most formidable opponent an athlete faces. During these sessions, we spend the first 30 minutes on coaching, and the second half is dedicated to hypnosis, with the integration of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques. With a master's degree in psychology, I bring a deep understanding of the human mind to the table.
